I Object! Twitter Users Share Their Wildest Wedding Objection Stories

Speak now or forever hold your peace, they say. Well, clearly, some of these guests had no trouble speaking their minds and letting go of their peace. The people of the social media skreets recently shared their wedding objection stories, and let’s just say, we weren’t quite ready!

Marriage ceremonies are usually known for love, light, and laughs. However, in this case, while the bride and the groom were busy saying “I do,” these attendees were busy saying “I object.”

A Twitter user by the name of @ItsJewsie sparked the discussion on her account, asking if someone had ever witnessed a holy matrimony interruption, and fellow followers (and even non-followers) weighed in on the interesting subject at hand.

Most of us have probably only seen it on our TV screens, but judging by the influx of replies, each and every tweet proved that objecting during one’s “big day” is truly a real-life thing.

It’s one major issue to be left standing at the altar, but to have your nuptials pettily put on pause? Just cancel the whole event!

When my aunt re married one of her baby daddy’s one of her other baby daddy’s objected and said his reason for objecting is that she was a hoe and not meant for marriage…..everybody just looked at each other cause we already knew how my aunt was 😂

Not an objection at a WEDDING but my grandpa deadass rode to the church, my grandma was about to take her final vows to become a NUN at, on a WHITE HORSE & yelled for her to runaway with him, from the church doors, which she did. This was Mexico 1968 to be fair.

When my grandparents got married (Mexico 1950) a woman came to stop the wedding claiming my grampa had a kid with her (which was true). They asked my grandma right then and there if she wanted to proceed with the marriage, she said yes and they were married til he died 15 yrs ago

3 years ago at my friends wedding , as they were saying there vows , the grooms ex gf walks in and claims they’ve been fucking for the past 6 months and she’s pregnant with twins . They called off the wedding but Come to find out she was fucking his twin brother the entire time

The groom stood up and said something like “I’d now like to thank my beautiful bride…. And my best man for sleeping together for the past 6 months” 😳 then he walked out. Apparently all hell broke loose afterwards, fights between the families and all.

Not my wedding, but at my ex-in-laws’ wedding apparently the groom’s mother sobbed in misery so loudly (she hated the bride) that the bride’s father stood up and yelled “SHUT THE HELL UP, BEVERLY” in the middle of the ceremony.

yep. my aunt was about to marry her 1st husband? or 2nd can’t remember anyways his gay lover burst into the church and shut that shit down. she eventually married him anyway. then they were divorced about a year or two later.

my late aunt crashed my uncles wedding and said she was pregnant with his kid. the wedding was canceled. he married her instead. never had a baby & stayed married until they died.

At my cousins wedding my dad put on a dress,makeup and a long red wig and when they got to that part he ran out carrying a baby doll in car seat screaming “he can’t marry you this is his baby!” but it was the 90s…

At a second cousins wedding his ex from a while ago came in an objected and he was arrest not to long after… this nigga not only had kids (teens) he didn’t mention but federal child support warrants in another state, she heard about the event thru Facebook and pulled up 🥴
