There are many videos out exhibiting persons who have passed away and came back to life with claims they had a brief stint in either heaven or hell — however, none of them recalled tortured souls singing Rihanna‘s “Umbrella.” Recently, a TikTok video went viral of a pastor explaining what went on in hell when he momentarily made a pit stop there. Texas native Gerald Johnson, who runs Gerald A. Johnson Ministries, posted a video on the short-form video hosting service recounting a 2016 voyage to the lake of fire.

Evidently, Pastor Johnson suffered a heart attack, and after his spirit departed from his physical frame it journeyed to the center of the earth. “That’s where hell is,” the religious leader said. Johnson went on to discuss how Satan is utilizing music to control people. “There was a section in hell where music was playing, and it was the same music that we hear on the Earth, but as opposed to entertainers singing it, the music, demons were singing it. And it was some of the same lyrics we hear here.” According to the TikTok user, one of the songs the demons sang was Rihanna‘s hit record “Umbrella.”

“Here, music is for, like, to get over a breakup. ‘Don’t worry, be happy,’ ‘I bust the windows out your car,’ ‘under my umbrella,’ whatever,” said the pastor while citing Bobby McFerrin and Jazmine Sullivan lyrics as well. “There, every lyric to every song is to torment you as to the fact that you didn’t worship God through music when you were on the Earth. So it’s like you had the chance to worship him in church and worship him at home and worship him through music, but you chose to worship Satan by repeating the lyrics that he inspired to come into the Earth.”

In addition, the TikTok pastor also detailed some nightmarish images, including a demon walking a completely burnt man like a dog (with a chain around his neck and down on all fours) through hell. “It still baffles me to this day. There’s a section in hell where music was playing,” said Johnson. To date, Rihanna‘s “Umbrella” has 868 million views on YouTube, though who would have thought it’d be popular in hell too.
