Americans all over are in a state of disbelief and shock, after hearing that the man responsible for one of the worst attacks on the United States of America, the man responsible for what we can only refer to as 9/11, has been killed.
Osama Bin Laden , the leader of Al Queda, was said to be killed on Sunday May 1, 2011 by United States officials. The President of the United States, Barack Obama, told Americans in a powerful speech that along with his national security team they had been planning the attack on Osama since last week. Obama went on to say that they took action as soon as they knew exactly where he is and how they were going to attack.
A senior U.S. official told CNN news that Osama, along with other family members were killed in a mansion outside of the Pakistan capital of Islamabad. The President confirmed that he was indeed killed in Abottabad, Pakistan. Officials say that they have the body of Bin Laden in their possession, proof that indeed the man who took many family members away from loves ones, is dead.
For those who remember the events of 9/11, they can also remember tears, dust, screams, and death.  For most of us that day brings back a tragic past and brutal memory, for some that day was the same day that they lost their parents, grandparents, brothers, and sisters. Over 3000 people died on that day in the attacks led by the man who was killed on Sunday.
Today is a historic day, not a day for jokes or laughs. For many, today brings them closure. Many families, were not able to say goodbye to their loved ones, some weren’t able to see their new child be born, or graduate, or get married. The extent of this disaster is one that will never be forgotten.
While watching the coverage of the death of Osama Bin laden on CNN, you see an extremely large amount of Americans, gathered outside of the White House with the American flag, one can only imagine the feeling of relief they have tonight.
So tonight before heading to bed, let us all bow our heads and pray for those who lost their family, in the war, in the ruble of the Twin Towers, and in general.
In the words of our President, “Justice has been done!”

With Bin Laden’s death, we hope that it can bring some closure for the 9/11 families who were affected and lost loved ones.

Through Bin Laden’s death the 9/11 families and the citizens of the United States can have some semblance of closure.
