Thor movie review

The Mighty Thor is a great but egocentric warrior whose hasty actions reignite an ancient war. As a consequence, Thor’s powers are taken away and he is banished to Earth where he is required to live among humans. When the most treacherous criminal of his world sends its darkest forces to attack Earth, Thor discovers what it takes to make a true hero and regains his powers.
Let me just say that, while I am a huge marvel fan, I never read any Thor comics until I heard that they were making a movie. And even then, I lost interest in them after turning a few pages. But I have seen all the Saturday morning cartoons, and as a little girl I always said I would marry Thor (and also super man, and wolverine, and batman, etc) when I grew up, so I was a little nervous about the Thor movie, as I know how movies can sometimes ruin a good thing (like comics! Take Iron Man and Cat Women for example). However, Thor blew me away. A friend teased me that I only thought it was great because I had never seen anything in 3D before, but I don’t think that’s the case here. The graphics and special effects were amazing. I honestly am not a big Natalie Portman fan, however; she did a fantastic job with the role of Jane Foster. Chris Hemsworth was to die for as Thor. Not only was he easy on the eyes, but was a terrific actor!
All in all, I have no complaints with Thor besides the fact that it made me forget about my popcorn (Ever carried a full bag of popcorn out of a movie theater? It feels awkward). It was a great movie, and no doubt will become an instant classic.
