The Game cancels Australia tour… again?!

As you may know, the Compton rapper isn’t a stranger to controversy or receiving backlash — and for the umpteenth time, he’s inheriting flak.

Fans are furious that they can’t obtain a refund after The Game once again postponed his tour of Australia.

The Game will not be performing at any of the six Australian and New Zealand dates of his tour with Ice Cube and Cypress Hill, according to a Ticketek announcement made just two days prior to the start of the tour.

Ice Cube and Cypress Hill will now be joined by Australian rap trio AB Original in Melbourne on March 23, Adelaide on March 25, Sydney on March 26 and Brisbane on March 29.

After promising his supporters a comeback after he canceled his Jesus Piece tour in 2013, the Hip-Hop star has backed out of a tour in Australia three times in the last ten years.

The Game’s cancellation was announced in an email from Ticketek to ticketholders on Tuesday, two days before the tour’s start in Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. The statement stated that former G-Unit member will no longer be performing because of “last-minute commitments.”

Given that the substitute act is less well-known than The Game, and many people deliberately purchased their tickets in the hopes of seeing the US rapper, some fans are now requesting a partial refund from Ticketek for tickets that cost as much as $350 as a result of the revelation.

They are, however, not getting a dime back.

After it was revealed that The Game had postponed his appearance on the Australian tour, he has maintained a consistent Instagram presence. He hasn’t spoken about the tour cancellation, though.

On Wednesday (March 22), the “Hate It or Love It” spitter uploaded a selfie to his grid, and soon after, Aussie followers jumped into the comments to inquire as to what was going on.

“Been a fan since your first album dropped, been to every Australian concert, missed your meet and great you disappeared from after we all [paid] for the privilege, watched you perform with a busted voice.. after [canceling] your tour again I’m done surprised you have a fan base anymore man,” said one fan below his post.

While someone else chimed in: “Third time he’s doing this now .. no respect for the fans .. we pay [hundreds] to see these guys and [The] Game gets replaced by a group I never heard of.”
