Stacey Dash Ends Bid For Congress Seat Before It Really Began

“My goal was, and remains, to improve the lives of people who have been forgotten for decades by the Democratic Party.”  Those are the words of Stacey Dash, the former “Clueless” starlet, who as of late morphed into an opinionated conservative Fox News commentator after she filled necessary paperwork to run for Congress. She stated her desire was to positively impact the overlooked communities of the 44th Congressional District. Stacey Dash seems to have believed that she could use the ‘black experience’ as a way to positively impact those California communities she hoped to represent.

Let’s back track a bit. Who is Stacey Dash, politically speaking? She has got to be more than an unknown if she had a big enough following to convince her to run for an office. The former Kanye West video girl, born in 1967 has seen enough faulty legislation between both coasts to give her guidance on what not to do. And, she held roles on “The Cosby Show”, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, “Single Ladies”, “The Game”, and “Sharknado 4”.  With a diverse body of work like that she definitely holds the keys to the political futures of disenfranchised underrepresented communities, right?

As laughable as her on screen career might seem she might have something to offer the world. She holds firm to maintaining the health and welfare of her health and the welfare of her family, and this nation, as we all remember after she was let go from Fox. (She also demanded accountability for pay equality- even if it blamed the victims.)

Although, that’s not an extensively comprehensive depiction of “the community’s” perception of Stacey Dash’s political stance, it does give room for several objections. (At least in the roles she has taken, if nothing else). Enough objection, that Stacey Dash took it upon herself to withdraw from the election, “After much prayer, introspection and discussions with my family, I am withdrawing my candidacy for California’s 44th Congressional District,” Dash said in an email statement to CNN.

It seems her timing was a little less than perfect. It’s almost like her dreams were, (dare I say) dashed.
