Black Women, Real Talk Comes To TV One Mornings with Sister Circle

A new day time talk show will be surfacing on Monday September 18th on the largest Black owned network, TV One. TV One and TEGNA have joined forces to find four African American women to establish the talk show, Sister Circle.

Sister Circle will be live, daily talk show featuring topics that range from relationships and parenting to current events and personal finances. The hosts for the new talk show are Rashsan Ali (TV reporter and radio show host), Syleena Johnson (Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter), Quad Webb-Lunceford (“Married to Medicine” personality) and Kiana Dancie (stand-up comedian).  DJ Q will be supplying the music and giving a male perspective to the all-feminine show.


The Sister Circle panel of hosts [pictured above] are all African-American women from different career paths coming together to give the viewers a feeling of a girls hangout. The show stars Kiana Dancie, a stand-up comedian that has shared the stage with the greats like Rodney Perry and Sheryl Underwood. Kiana Dancie is a free spirit who is single and navigating through the single life. She can be very outspoken and at times unpredictable.

Rashan Ali is a TV and radio host and author; she is a journalist at 11 alive in Atlanta. Rashan Ali is married with two kids and has published children’s book motivating girls to play sports.

Quadd Webb-Lunceford is currently on Bravo’s “Married to Medicine” and she is known for her witty and fun personality. Mrs. Webb-Lunceford has an degree in biology and chemistry, but pursued a different direction and became a successful business woman in fashion and animal world.

Syleena Johnson is a Grammy nominated singer/songwriter that has worked with music heavy hitters like Kanye West, R. Kelly, Musiq Soulchild. She has produced a DVD called Mommy’s Got Soul, is married to basketball player Kiwane Garris and the pair have two children.

Sister Circle will be a ground breaking talk show in morning television. This show will give viewers a unique insight as to what it feels like being a Black woman.

TV One reaches 59 million households with this joint venture with TEGNA the network can reach unparalleled viewers leaving Sister Circle to broadcast all over the Unites States.  The deal with TEGNA will allow TV One to not only sustain the viewers they currently have in 14 million households, but also reach more people through TEGNA’s 46 television stations in 38 markets. TEGNA has a multitude of businesses, but the most thriving is the media company which is affiliated with major networks like NBC.

Sister Circle was set to premiere on September but because of the uncertainty with Hurricane Imra and Hurricane Jose, the show, which broadcasts live from Atlanta will premiere on September 18th at 9 a.m.
