RUMOR: Gunna To Be Set Free As Early As This Week

Rumor claims Gunna could “be set free” as early as this week.

A few days ago, a notable Twitter handle tweeted a piece of seemingly unverified news that has put social media in suspense and in a chokehold. Several fans and concerned individuals have come out with different reactions. While some are hopeful the news is true, others believe the rapper should be kept behind the bars.

Sergio Giavanni Kitchens who was born in 1993 and professionally known as Gunna, is an American rapper and singer signed to Young Thug’s record label YSL, as well as 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records. Gunna rose to fame following Young Thug’s “Floyd Mayweather,” which he was featured on alongside Gucci Mane and Travis Scott. The single peaked at No. 41 on the Billboard’s R&B/hip-hop chart.

Gunna was arrested on May 11, 2022, on charges of racketeering and gang activity. According to The New York Times, the 56-count indictment runs a whopping 88 pages long. Also indicted were Young Thug, Yak Gotti, PeeWee Roscoe, and Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk.

The judge in charge of Gunna’s case had said earlier, according to TMZ that he believes his involvement in the Young Stoner Life camp could lead to witness intimidation if he is released.

Gunna’s attorney, Steve Sadow, had told TMZ Hip Hop, “Sergio Kitchens a/k/a Gunna and the defense team are very disappointed in the denial of bond.” He went further to say “Gunna produced substantial evidence that bond was warranted for him. The prosecution again produced no evidence at all; instead, it chose to rely on vague and non-specific allegations and speculation through the statements of the prosecutor alone.”

According to a report by the U.S Sun after the arrest, Gunna is expected to remain in jail until his case goes to trial in January 2023.

I don’t know if anyone has watched the movie “DUTCH” 0 which featured Gunna, but I think he is really living out the movie. Gunna ain’t snitch on nobody. But if he’s getting out, God’s good. The truly innocent gon get justified. There ain’t got shit on him On God🙏
