They say good things come to those who wait and at this exact point and time I can honestly say tha for once I was not late.  What was in store for me, for us, was what the doctor ordered.  As a matter of fact its what those 5 brothers intended.   Little did we know that somewhere under the radar, amongst the family in the dungeon they were putting organized noize to a tempo that would surface as extremely instrumental and all our expectations would….well mine went out the window.  I’m not gonna lie I was anticipating something countrified but what I got was Nappy Dot Org
Tracklisting:
1. Legends Live On
In the first track famed Goodie Mobb member Khujo Goodie lends his vocals, to a headbanging eye-opening intro, that does justice in setting the pace for whats to come. Whatever expectations you may have or preconceived notion about what Nappy dot Org is settled sufficiently here. Hard hitting content, which states a claim to the reputation of both the Dungeon family and Nappy Roots,  rightfully titled, Legends Live On
2. Return of the Country Boyz
With the purpose of making an album which is both “country” and “southern” at the same time, this track suffices in reminding you of some of Nappy’s principles, and customs. Lyricism abound, Nappy lets the world know that the country boyz are back- to stay.
3. Ea$y Money
Not so much to say that the business of making music has become easy money, more so that the reward for doing something you love makes it easier. A consistent them of this song is Nappy’s love for Hip Hop and giving their core fans what is needed.
4. Hey Love ft. Samuel Christian
Ever had a love? Ever looked for a love?  We all have, its one of the most common things amongst man kind. In a manner that you are not so used to from Nappy; With the help of Souther crooner Sam Christian, let the group break down their way to love.
5. Pete Rose ft. Khujo Goodie
Personally my favorite track on the album and the most unexpected. Reminds of that 90s sound, something Ive been needing for quite some time. A peculiar title selection, however, explained well by the group, Pete Rose is about confidence about loving your craft and the people you share it with. In my book, there is not a thing wrong with that. If you do not now, after listening you are sure to agree.
6. Good & Evil
So much of life is about balance and taking the good with the bad; Looking for a lesson on that, listen to the track.
7. Karma
Simply put what goes around, does indeed resurface. Its an age old #FACT. You can not dodge it, better to embrace and adjust.
8. Y’all Party
Interestingly metaphoric. The lyrics bring clarity to the idea of “partying.”  When its all said and done you yourself will be ready to party. Do not be scared to get up out of your seat.
9. Give Me A Sign
A track about faith, a track about acceptance. When faced with some things in life, one is left looking for a sign, Nappy Roots is no different. Relate-ability is constant throughout the project. This track is an exemplification of that.
10. Nappy U Here
Yes I am. And so are the Nappy Roots. This track is a celebration of life and great segue to the last track
11. Congratulations
If you aren’t happy with the output by now, then there is something definitely wrong with you. No worries though, you can always start from the beginning.
And there you have it, Nappy Dot org courtesy of Nappy Roots and the legendary Organized Noize.

They say good things come to those who wait and at this exact point and time I can honestly say that for once I was not late.  What was in store for me, for us at the recent Nappy Roots listening session, was what the doctor ordered.  The album is a the group’s fifth studio album, but their first collaboration with legendary Hip-Hop producers, Organized Noize.  As a matter of fact, its what those 5 brothers, Fish Scales, Ron Clutch, B. Stille, Skinny DeVille and Big V, intended.   Little did we know that somewhere under the radar, amongst the family in the dungeon they were putting organized noize to a tempo that would surface as extremely instrumental and all our expectations would….well mine at least went out the window.  I’m not gonna lie, I was anticipating something countrified but what I got was Nappy Dot Org.

Here’s a break down of what I heard.

  1.  Legends Live On ft. Big Rube of the Legendary Dungeon Family

On the first track, Big Rube lends his vocals, to a headbanging eye-opening intro, that does justice in setting the pace for whats to come. Whatever expectations you may have or preconceived notions about what Nappy Dot Org will be are settled sufficiently here. Hard hitting content, which stakes a claim to the reputation of both the Dungeon Family and Nappy Roots,  rightfully titled, “Legends Live On.”
