Mindless Behavior's Prodigy and Ray Ray Announce College Tour

A Mindless Behavior reunion is upon us, but (this time) only with two of the original members. Prodigy and Ray Ray announced a college tour.

Earlier this week, Prodigy and Ray Ray (now known by his real name, Rayan) took to their social media to announce that they would be embarking on a nationwide university tour!

Set to kick off this year, A Mindless Industry will see Prodigy and Rayan visiting an array of schools for an intimate sit-down about their real-life encounters on the road to stardom. Along with reconnecting with their day-one supporters, they’ll also be offering insight to those interested in pursuing the entertainment field.

“Prodigy and I are going to multiple schools telling our experiences from [Mindless Behavior] and giving advice/guidance to students who care to follow in this career path,” Rayan wrote on his Instagram Story. “Tell your HBCUs, Colleges, and Universities to book now!”

As of now, there is no exact start date for the anticipate run, and the cities are to be announced.

Upon the news of the famed young men’s forthcoming endeavor, #TeamMindless flooded the comments in excitement. Most were anxious to relive their childhood days of bumping “Mrs. Right” and screaming “MB, y’all” to the top of their adolescent lungs, while others questioned the absence of fellow members Princeton and Roc Royal.

Originally founded in 2008, the 2010s practically belonged to four Black boys with a microphone and the moves to come along with it. Mindless Behavior served as a staple in Generation Z’s boy-band era, delivering bops like “My Girl” and (as previously mentioned) “Mrs. Right” that many of us still blast to this very day.

In 2013, lead singer Prodigy left the chart-topping collective, leaving Princeton, then-Ray Ray, and Roc Royal to keep things afloat. He was eventually replaced by singer/actor EJ (Elijah J). A year later, Roc Royal made his departure, and Prodigy briefly returned.

Prodigy’s resurgence was short-lived, and in 2015, another singer by the name of Mike River joined the group. Ultimately, Ray Ray left to pursue his solo music, and Princeton, Mike River, and EJ rebranded as a trio. Unfortunately, Mindless Behavior disbanded in 2017.

Roc Royal (now noted under the moniker Santo August) is currently serving time in prison. Princeton has added his last name Perez to his stage name, and he’s remarketed himself as an individual artist.

No word on if Princeton will be (later) joining Prodigy and Rayan for A Mindless Industry. Additionally, performances don’t seem to be on the radar for the appearances.
