Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the social platform hasn’t been well received by users. Case in point — Meek Mill recently deleted his Twitter account. However, prior to doing so, the superstar rapper tweeted one last time explaining that he’s simply not feeling the negative vibes on the social networking service.

Meek Mill said in his final Twitter post: “Ima deactivate Twitter forever and go to a new social where it’s more good vibes based off building, creating and motivation,” said the Philly native. “Whoever run my shit turn this off forever … ima takeover my YouTube account to replace me interacting with supports! Too many bots and weird people.”

Right after the tweet out, Meek Mill formally deleted his account. Nonetheless, the “Early Mornings” is active on Instagram still, where he boasts approx 23 million followers and counting. Earlier this week, Twitter announced that they won’t permit ‘any accounts or tweets that cross promote to other platforms.’ The social site tweeted they’ve detected how ‘its users have been active on other social media platforms, and from here on will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media sites.’

Naturally, this didn’t sit well with Twitter users, Meek Mill included. On Sunday, Elon Musk tweeted on his newly acquired social platform: “Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.” The Tesla mogul’s poll garnered over 17.5 million responses, with nearly 58% percent of the votes saying “Yes” he ought of step aside.

Following the poll results calling for Musk to step down as head of Twitter, he tweeted: “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it.” Musk then followed up with another tweet: “Those who want power are the ones who least deserve it.”
