KNXG Crooked Disagrees With Special Ed’s Shots At N.W.A – They Ruined Rap!

KNXG Crooked is no stranger to being under the influence and he certainly isn’t a stranger to drunk-talking but he has been sober for over 7 years now. Hence, his take on Special Ed’s diss at N.W.A couldn’t have been the alcohol talking… he actually believes what he said.

Crooked is a heavy supporter of West Coast hip-hop but he thinks Special Ed isn’t particularly wrong about his take on N.W.A being the sole destructor of rap.

N.W.A is An American hip-hop pioneer label founded in the 90s in Compton, California. The group consists of oldies rappers like Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Eazy E, and many other big-name 90s rappers.

Special Ed’s Diss at N.W.A

Special Ed in an interview with Drink Champs two weeks ago had said that he blames Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, Dr. Dre, and even the late Eazy E for destroying rap right from the start. He thinks that they had spoiled rap by building it on a weak foundation and that is the reason rap is the way it is now…not progressing.

“And they had…huh…more of a presence. You know Ice C did a number, you know he did his thing. That’s my OG too, Ice C but N.W.A ran away with it in such a way, where was like for real? That’s all we gonn do? You know it was genius for them and they made millions of dollars off it but look at what it caused!” he said.

“We all was saying fuck the police but they said it on record!” he added upon further probing.

KNXG Crooked’s Stance

Crooked in contrast, on a TMZ live on Monday, September 25 said in response to Special Ed “Now there are some reasons to go ahead and try to…you know support your argument but I’m gonna say this. Man go read The Destruction Of The Black Civilization and understand that this destruction has always been here. Since we touched the soil and art imitates life, my brother that’s what happened!”

He reiterated, “I don’t think N.W.A brought the…the destruction age, I think they highlighted it.”

Crooked supports Special Ed but he has other ideas too. He says that another problem is that rap media sorts rappers into categories without actually getting to know the rappers: their core values, and strengths but rather prefers to paint them negatively in the headlines.

Crooked was initially signed to Virgin Records and Death Row Records before he founded his own company. So, he would know all about N.W.A. Especially about their debut, which was historic, to say the least. A debut that Ed still pushes…negatively. While Crooked agrees with Ed he also thinks that the “I Got It Made” rapper takes joy in pushing negative news. The group’s debut “Straight Outta Compton” spoke about the issues in the hood, not to glorify them but to correct them but Ed till now doesn’t have anything good to say about it.

The Rise And Fall Of Slaughterhouse rapper was also very much in on their tea around the time of Eazy E’s death. A death that was caused by an AIDs-induced Pneumonia. Suge Knight, former CEO of Death Row Records in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2003 had even said that Eazy was intentionally given HIV but Crooked says he was under the influence of the several apple martinis he was drinking backstage…We still do not know which one of them speaks the truth.

Do you think KXNG Crooked is right about rappers pushing the negative narrative intentionally?
