GloRilla reacts to New York concert stampede that left two dead and eight injured.

Just after finishing up her Anyways, Life’s Great Tour, the “Tomorrow” rapper had a performance at Main Street Armory on Sunday night (Mar. 5), where she was joined by fellow Memphis rhymer Finesse2Tymes. The venue had a capacity of 5,000 people.

According to Lt. Nicholas Adams, police officers responded to initial claims of shots fired inside at approximately 11 p.m., but it was later found that the injuries weren’t consistent with those caused by gunfire. He said, “The injuries appear to be as a result of a large crowd pushing towards the exits following accounts of individuals hearing what they believed to be gunshots.”

Reports of bullets flying amid the establishment prompted fear in the concertgoers, which led to a deadly stampede that injured nine individuals in all. 33-year-old Rhondesia Belton and another unnamed woman in her mid-30s were identified as the two victims to have succumbed to the wounds.

Additionally, six others were taken to nearby hospitals, with some said to be in critical condition.

Following the unfortunate incident, GloRilla spoke out about the matter.

She tweeted, “I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf. Praying everybody is ok.” The 23-year-old then went on to add, “I am devastated & heartbroken over the tragic deaths that happened after Sunday’s show. My fans mean the world to me. Praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected.”
