Unfortunately, the season of the lions and lionesses is over. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t give a shout-out to entertainers who are Leos!

If you didn’t know, Leo is the fifth tier of the zodiac, which falls immediately after Cancer (June 22 – July 22) and right before Virgo (August 23 – September 22). The astrology period runs from July 23 until August 22.

Be it male or female, many Leos are often deemed the life of the party as they (naturally) are the center of attention. The fire sign is one of the most passionate and prideful in the universe–no matter the scenario.

From their creative attributes to their chaotic nature, Leos’ controversial traits certainly make having one of them in your corner an interesting time.

While there may be a lot of misconceptions surrounding these rambunctious individuals, life wouldn’t be the same without the lovely Leo.

Let’s look at some of our favorite celebrities who happen to be one!

Born on August 9, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey, the late Whitney Houston was considered one of the greatest female vocalists ever. The pop singer-actress, crowned “The Voice,” had a career spanning over three decades before her sudden death in 2012.

With over 200 million records sold worldwide–with six Grammys and a slew of other awards to show for it–she was most known for her songs “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” (1987), “Didn’t We Almost Have It All” (1992), and her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.”

On the Hollywood scene, Houston’s roles in The Bodyguard (1992), Waiting to Exhale (1995), and The Preacher’s Wife (1996) catapulted her to legendary stardom.

The 66-year-old has an extensive catalog of classic hits, including “Holiday” (1983), “Like a Virgin,” (1984), “Material Girl” (1985), and “Vogue,” (1990), which have counted toward her title of being the best-selling female recording artists of all time (400 million+).

Aside from his on-camera endeavors, De Niro is also the force behind TriBeCa Productions, a film and television company he founded alongside Jane Rosenthal in 1989. The empire is responsible for many phenomenons, including Holiday Heart (2000), The Good Shepherd (2006), and the Ava DuVernay-directed crime drama series When They See Us (2019).
