TV One To Release All This Love: The DeBarge Story In 2018

One of Americas most popular family groups in American music history is returning to take over our television screens, yet again. TV One is planning a film on the talented DeBarge family, titled, All This Love: The DeBarge Story. The TV One film has a future release date that is set for June of 2018.

Viewers will have the experience of witnessing the life of the family matriarch, Etterlene Abney as she narrates the story allowing viewers to travel in time with her through the up’s and downs of her marriage and family life with her husband Robert DeBarge, a handsome white solider and their ten kids. Not long after Etterlene’s marriage goes through a turbulent unraveling, she makes the choice to relocate with her children to Illinois where the children begin getting involved in her brother’s church by singing.

The children each have an amazing gift of song and it is quickly recognized by people outside the family. Two of Etterlene’s brothers decide to record a demo tape, which with the help of Jermaine Jackson ends up falling into the hands of Motown Founder Berry Gordy – and the rest is history.

The Debarge story is one that is woven with music, fame and success, romance drugs, sibling rivalry – and bonded by the glue of Abney’s love that strains to keep them all together.
TV One previously produced an episode of UnSung based on the family. It is one of the most popular episodes of UnSung. The film is written by Norman Vance, Jr, and Camara Davis but it is based off of Etterlene “Mama” Abney’s story called Other Side of Pain.

All This Love: The DeBarge Story is currently being produced for TV One by Swirl Films and Re’Shaun Frear Productions.
