Andrew Yang famously ran a unique campaign to run for President of the United States as a Democrat in the 2020 election cycle, before he bowed out to Joe Biden. The politician is now taking his talents to a more local race, as he tries to win over a smaller election pool. Yang is running for Mayor of New York City in 2021, one of many candidates looking to follow Mayor Bill de Blasio. A newly released Andrew Yang Rap campaign ad lays out a bit of his plan for New York City and his campaign.
The Andrew Yang rap campaign ad features MC Jin, who is also of Asian decent. Jin was once signed to Ruff Ryders/Virgin Records, releasing his debut album, The Rest Is History in 2004.
“Yang for New York/Yang for New York/We gonna do the right thing for New York,” the rhyme begins.
Time to do the right thing for New York – thank you @iammcjin. Let’s go New York City! https://t.co/aJH8sQFZOv pic.twitter.com/Q636wUQYue
