DJ Khaled’s latest album, Major Key is available now. Major Key is his EIGHTH solo studio album, a huge accomplishment for anyone but even moreso for a DJ (Funkmaster Flex had seven major releases, DJ Drama just released his 5th, DJ Clue had 3). Khaled also released another album with E. Class and is credited as a producer on tracks dating back to 2004. When he emerged on the scene as a DJ releasing albums back in the day (2006) many thought he’d be washed up after a couple years, but with Major Key, he shows he’s just getting started putting out some of his best DJ Khaled songs… if that’s even possible.

At 40 years old, Khaled is much more than a DJ. His business savvy is the reason he went from a radio personality on Miami’s 99 Jams to a member of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad crew to an artist manager for artists like Rick Ross and Ace Hood and producers like The Runners and DJ Nasty, to a label owner for his own imprint We The Best, to a socialite on social media, particularly Snapchat. 29. “They Don’t Love You No More” featuring Jay Z, Meek Mill & French Montana
The first time Khaled collaborated with Jay Z. Even though he didn’t bother showing up for the video.

28. “Gold Slugs” featuring Chris Brown, August Alsina and Fetty Wap
One of the few bright spots from the forgettable I Changed A Lot album.

27. “Brown Paper Bag” ft. Dre, Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe and Rick Ross
Album number two. Seems like forever ago.

26. “We Taking Over” ft. Akon, T.I., Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Birdman & Lil Wayne
The first single from that second album, We The Best. The beat set it off. Another track Lil Wayne helped.

This was off the Victory album that dropped in 2011. Most of these artists were just beginning to really buzz. To have them all on the same track, all hungry trying to secure the best verse was real!

Back to back Wale appearances. The Kirko Bangz hook alone would’ve locked this in for a top 30 spot.

Who remembers this one? Early G.O.O.D. Music, if this featured Cudi and Common it would’ve landed much higher on the list.

DJ Khaled’s first official single. Might not remember it now, but when this dropped it was MAJOR. Fully represented what was then his Miami family, Khaled clearly hit the ground running.

No idea how this song went below the radar, especially with the visual. A bonus track on 2012’s Kiss The Ring, it features an amazing verse from Kendrick Lamar and some of Ace Hood’s best work.
